Installation

This site-specific installation of carefully crafted flags was featured in the September 2020 issue of Open Borders magazine, published by the art collective Portland, who are based in the UK.

The flags were made using natural dyes and remained in situ in Sherwood Park for one month in September 2020 during the second lockdown for Covid-19 in Toronto, Canada. Inspired by the tradition of Tibetan prayer flags, each flag shared a heartfelt wish for better outcomes and sufficient  resources, all unconstrained by geographic borders.
