Ensnared Series

These wall-based sculptures combine natural materials with signifiers of the industrial world to question our current relationship with nature. The use of synthetic rubber, a petroleum-based product, references the toxic waste created by the fossil fuel industry while the use of cotton threads draw the polluting practices of fabric production into the discussion.
